Everton Captain Phil Neville Will Leave Club At End of Season

Everton skipper Phil Neville has announced that he will be leaving the club at the end of this season.

Neville, who has been at Everton since 2005, will take some time to weigh up his options. It’s quite possible that Neville may be interested in a career as a pundit, where his brother Gary Neville has achieved rave reviews.

“It’s been an honor to play for and captain Everton Football Club,” said Neville. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time on Merseyside and will leave with immense pride.”

Phil Neville has made 303 appearances for Everton, and became only the seventh player in Premier League history to make 500 Premier League appearances. Neville joined Everton from Manchester United in the summer of 2005.

Neville has won six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, one Champions League titleand one World Club Cup.

Will Everton miss Neville? Who will step into his boots at Goodison Park next season? And who should become the new captain? Share your views in the comments section below.

  1. I don’t believe that that person really makes that much working from home, or my belly fat will magically vanish, but I do believe that this site has way too much going on ad wise, and visually, and I’m letting you know now that it is distracting and making me now want to visit this site.

I have no problem with ads, it is what I do for a living… I have a problem with this in your face ad blitz.

    1. Thanks for the feedback. We have no more ads that any typical website. A lot of the ads are geo-targeted so depending on where you live, you’ll see completely different ads than someone else. I see the belly fat/make money at home/etc on other sites too including The Guardian and other reputable websites.

      1. Hey I understand you need to keep the lights on… and I don’t mind the ads in general. I just hate the ones that are between the comments and story. anyway. Thanks for the response.
