We’re going to do things a little differently for April’s book discussion. This month we’re going with a book that I strongly recommend. It’s one of the best soccer books I’ve read in years. And even months after reading it, it still sticks with me.

The book discussion selection for April is Brian Clough: Nobody Ever Says Thank You. Written by Jonathan Wilson, the author of Inverting The Pyramid, the book is a biography of Brian Clough’s life from a child to his death, and everything in between including his playing and managerial career.

The book is extremely well-written. It’s a very easy read and I learned so much from it about Clough’s career as a footballer as well as what really happened behind the scenes as a manager. Plus, you really get a better feel for who the real Brian Clough is. Or at least a much better one, because Cloughie often contradicted himself.

The book is available as a paperback, hardcover or in Kindle formats.

The deadline to finish the book is April 30, 2013.
