While the US men’s national team has the tricky match against Costa Rica later today (watch for the open thread on EPL Talk for that one), England faces a far easier opposition against European minnows San Marino.

San Marino has never won a competitive match. They’re comprised mostly of amateurs, have the smallest population among UEFA countries and have the dubious honor of being on the end of a record-breaking 13-0 defeat against Germany (2007). Suffice to say, this better be an easy and convincing win for England.

England starting XI: Hart, Walker, Smalling, Lescott, Baines, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Cleverley, Lampard, Young, Rooney, Defoe

For viewers in the United States, the game is being shown live on ESPN3.com

The other matches kicking off at 4pm ET today include Scotland vs Wales (ESPN3), France vs Georgia (ESPN3) and Spain vs Finland (3:45pm ET, ESPN3) — among many other matches.
