Nike’s Manchester City Home Shirt for the 2013-14 Season: Newly Leaked [PHOTO]

A new photo has been leaked on the Internet featuring Manchester City’s new home shirt for the 2013-14 season.

As we revealed in early January, Manchester City’s new home shirt will be designed and manufactured by Nike. The shirt features black and white trim, a rounded collar and the Nike swoosh and sponsor logo in black type.

The design of this shirt looks more appealing in this photo compared to the previous leaked image. The image above shows more detail such as as the design down each side of the jersey.

      1. Because there are many hints of photoshop. Whoever edited the image did a poor job. First, the logo. Major blurriness along the top left wing and bottom right wing of the eagle due to airbrushing which he should have used the cleaner tool on.

Secondly, the cut off around the neck isn’t even. The editor most likely forgot to even it out after brushing out the neck label.

Finally, look at the old picture that was supposedly the “real” one, you can see how the logo stands out with the little bulge on the sides. This one is missing it due to the heavy photoshopping.

        1. You might be right. Let’s reconvene in the summer to see if this ends up being the new shirt or not.

          The Gaffer

    1. It looks like the same kit in both articles. The lighting and quality of the photos make the shirts look a bit different shades of blue, but the designs look the same. The only difference I can see is the lack of the design effects on the image from Serbia, but it could be that the angle of that photo doesn’t show the design effect.

      The Gaffer

  1. Probably legit, although some questions have been raised as to whether there is noise and pixellation around the crest area in this image.

Reminiscent of 10-11 design. Not terrible. And as “terrible” is generally what one would expect from Nike, you’re sort of ahead of the game if you can append a “not” to that.

A lot of the supporters are bitching and moaning up a storm over this and I’m not sure why. Probably just residual hostility to the manufacturer more than anything.

I’m just happy it does not resemble a tablecloth.

Oh, RAGS, I make fun of you because that is what I do – in truth the current rag shirt is actually pretty sharp in my opinion.

But my understanding is that next season’s rag kit will incorporate vertical stripes to more properly honor your main man and ace scorer Robin van Strauss-Kahn.
