Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to You From EPL Talk

It’s a special time of the year both for footballing and personal reasons. On behalf of everyone who writes and records for EPL Talk, I’d like to wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Wherever you live in the world, enjoy your football. And, most importantly, enjoy the holiday.

Cheers,
The Gaffer

PS While many of the other blogs and podcasts are taking a break over the holidays, we’ll be here in full swing. There are nine matches to look forward to tomorrow and plenty of talking points in one of the busiest teams of the season.

what can i say to the other old guy on the site.your wit and humor always puts a smile on my face and heck anybody who can work a rugby take into his post is not all bad.I am still pushing for the EPLTALK preseason kickoff tour to take place in your piece of paradise.to you and your family all the best.

    1. Merry Christmas to you and yours JTM, same to. The Gaffer, Guy, Ian, I hope you all have a great time with family, friends and if course football!! I hope you all have a great new year, except for when our clubs meet, at that point I hope your team collapse in a pile my against Spurs. ;)

As for my all time xi, impossible for me. I can give you a since i’ve been supporting Spurs (1980) starting 11, i’ll post it for you by New Years with formation and substitutes.

Have a great Xmas day and look forward to the boxing day fun! (Obviously without that shady Farcenal lot… Arsne Whinger and his we don’t want to play that many games….

      Anyways….. COYS!!!!!

  2. I’ll echo those contributions. Have a good un everyone, apart from the Arsenal haters out there ;-)

Have to say I look forward to the different perspective you lot give to a match day, and I try to remain relatively respectful and realistic in my contributions having the privilege of seeing my team and all yours in the flesh.

Cannot wait for Boxing Day though it is with some trepidation the longer our unbeaten run goes on for. We’re either going to wallop someone soon or get swallowed, we’ve been doing the in between for most of the season so the law of averages dictates this’ll occur at some point.

Hope you all get what you want (apart from 3 points off Stoke), but more importantly that you’re safe and enjoying yourself.

Just for Dust I’m going to ask The Gaffer to link a story in our local rag about a bunch of Stokies in fancy dress at WHL. Apparently on our messageboard it was most amusing watching an inebriated Spurs fan get led away be police after being taunted by Scooby Doo, Freddie Mercury, Indiana Jones and a host of assorted penguins. You can shove your Hollywood fans up your arsenal when you’ve got household names like those following you.

  3. A tad late to the site today, but ditto, ditto and ditto, guys. Looking forward to tomorrow’s matches. A win at Liverpool would be a grand Boxing Day present. :-)

Off to the pub in a bit for a free Italian dinner put on by the owner. She’s a sweetheart. Christmas goes on till we get out to Raleigh to visit son and daughter-in-law after New Year.
