What Professional Footballers Are The Same Age As You?

soccer pinata What Professional Footballers Are The Same Age As You?

Watching soccer has a way of making you feel young and old at the same time. As each new season begins, new players enter the league as older ones retire. There’s an endless supply of talent coming through each team, but sometimes it makes you feel old because the players that were from your era are no longer young.

So I decided to do some research to see what famous footballers were born in the same year as I was, 1969. Here’s what I found:

I am the same age as:

  • Tim Sherwood,
  • Jens Lehmann,
  • Dion Dublin,
  • Steve Staunton,
  • Tony Meola,
  • Brian Laudrup,
  • Oliver Kahn,
  • Eric Wynalda,
  • Andrei Kanchelskis, and
  • Gabriel Batistuta.

While there are some incredible footballers born the same year as I came into this world, it does make me feel quite old knowing that many of these greats have long since retired from the sport. Still, at least I’m in good company!

What about you? What famous professional footballers were born the same year as you? Visit this webpage and have some fun, and then post the results in the comments section below.
