What could be worse than West Ham United versus Chelsea? Perhaps QPR against Chelsea? Lazy jibes aside, let’s hope that the early kick-off between West Ham United and Chelsea is far more entertaining to watch than I fear.

In the six matches kicking off at 10am ET/7am PT/3pm UK time, it’s going to be hard to pick which matches to watch (unless your team is playing). Everton typically does well against Manchester City, so it’ll be a tough test for City at home against the Toffees. Arsenal has a home match against Swansea, where the Gunners will be under pressure both on and off the pitch (Arsenal supporters are organizing a protest).

Meanwhile, Liverpool faces a home match against Southampton where the Reds are desperate for a win against “lesser” opposition.

Over at Craven Cottage, it’ll seem like a reunion. Dimitar Berbatov and Martin Jol will be facing their old club, Tottenham Hotspur, while Clint Dempsey and Dembele will be very familiar with their surroundings.

Not too far away, Queens Park Rangers play their first home match under Harry Redknapp with a plum tie against Aston Villa. And last but not least is West Brom against Stoke, which should be an entertaining match to watch.

The last match of the day is Reading against Manchester United, one of the biggest matches at the Madejski Stadium this season.
