Last night, BBC North West and BBC Yorkshire aired a brand-new documentary entitled “Hillsborough – Searching For The Truth.” If you missed it, here it is in its entirety.

According to the synopsis from the BBC, the documentary filmmaker speaks to police officers, Hillsborough victims’ family members and the author of an infamous article in the Sun newspaper which blamed Liverpool fans for the disaster.

The 30 minute documentary was released last night in the build-up to Wednesday’s much-awaited report from the Hillsborough Independent Panel, where the Panel had access to more than 400,000 previously unreleased documents. The documents are from as many as 80 different organizations, including the police forces, government’s Cabinet office and ambulance service.

In the lead-up to Wednesday’s release of the Hillsborough Independent Panel report, the Bishop of Liverpool has composed a prayer for the Hillsborough families:

Lord,

In Jesus you taught us to keep on praying
and urged us never to give up
in our search for justice.
Comfort the families and the friends
of the 96 who died
and all who feel their loss;
As they relive the trauma of the tragedy of Hillsborough
Hold them in the Love that holds their loved ones,
Still their minds to receive all that is disclosed,
And guide them in their journey of justice and truth
That peace might be our constant companion.

Amen
