“Being: Liverpool,” the behind-the-scenes Liverpool FC documentary by FOX Sports, will debut on Sunday, September 16 alongside NFL programming on the free-to-air FOX network, FOX Sports announced today.

WHO: FOX Sports Media Group has partnered with Liverpool Football Club to produce a behind-the-scenes documentary, chronicling one of England’s greatest-ever teams from the end of last season through to the club’s managerial change and Liverpool’s tour of North America.

WHAT: “Being: Liverpool” is a six-part documentary series from Emmy Award-winning producer Scott Boggins.

WHEN: Depending on local NFL coverage, “Being: Liverpool” will debut on US TV on Sunday, September 16, 2012 either preceding the 3pm ET NFL game or following the 4:30pm ET NFL singleheader on FOX. The title of the first episode is “Silver Shovel.” Check local listings.

WHERE: If you do miss it live on FOX, the first episode of the six episode series will repeat twice that night on FOX Soccer. One of the repeats will be shown at 9pm ET (the other time is to be announced). The program will repeat throughout the week on National Geographic Channel, FOX Sports Networks and FUEL TV. MundoFOX will show the series on September 22 at 2pm ET.

Future episodes of “Being: Liverpool” will debut in primetime on FOX Soccer and MundoFOX beginning September 23 (9pm ET/PT), with repeats on National Geographic Channel, FSN and FUEL TV (check local listings).

“Being: Liverpool” will be narrated by Academy Award nominee (and Liverpool supporter) Clive Owen.

According to FOX Sports, “Given the broad U.S. reach of FOX and extensive international distribution of the series, the first episode of BEING: LIVERPOOL is available to more than 300 million homes worldwide. Such wide distribution is fitting in that Liverpool is one of the most decorated soccer clubs in the world, with 18 topflight English titles, seven FA Cups and a record eight League Cups to its name.”
