FOX Sports has unveiled its movie poster to promote the upcoming release of its behind-the-scenes documentary about Liverpool FC entitled “Being Liverpool.”

“Being Liverpool” will be produced by Scott Boggins (formerly of HBO’s 24/7 boxing documentary series). Through five seasons, HBO’s 24/7 has earned 33 Emmy nominations, winning 14 times. Boggins’ most recent work includes around-the-clock access to boxing title bouts featuring Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz (2011) and Manny Pacquiao vs. Ricky Hatton (2009). Boggins also ran point on 24/7’s insider coverage of the NHL’s Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins in the build-up to the 2011 NHL Winter Classic. His portfolio also includes 24/7 work centered upon NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson, the college football rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan, and additional boxing projects featuring Joe Calzaghe and Roy Jones.

The first episode of the Liverpool FC documentary, which is produced by FOX Sports, will premiere on FOX’s free-to-air network on September 16, 2012. The remaining five episodes in the series (as well as a replay of the first episode) will appear on FOX Soccer.

“Being Liverpool” was originally titled “Our Liverpool: Never Walk Alone,” but the executives at FOX Sports decided to change the title to “Being Liverpool.” FOX Sports is planning on releasing more sports-related documentaries in the future under the ‘Being’ series name.

  1. Is it me or is there little interest in this documentary for supporters of clubs other than Liverpool? Or am I wrong?

    The Gaffer

  2. I’m looking forward to this. I love getting to see the perspective of other clubs fans and what goes on behind the scenes. I really wish I could get a hold of the Blue Moon Rising film that came out a few years ago but it’s nearly 60 dollars to import it and that seems a bit ridiculous.

    1. not really because if liverpool finished 8th 20th or 1st in the league it would still be liverpool so with a title like Being:Liverpool it covers far much more than just league positions and that way it will attract more viewers, very wise title choice from fox 10/10 infact
