i hope it will work… US the fans we are really tired of this transfer…

  2. Marc says:

United have no money to spend. The Glazer’s are only going to use half the money the make off the stock to pay off their enormous debt. The other half will go into THEIR pockets. They are bleeding the club I love dry.

    • Alex Wolcott says:

I of course hate United but I love football more. I hate seeing a fraud like Glazer turning one of the cornerstone clubs of the entire world into his personal piggy bank.

People like Glazer are terrible for the game. Period.

      • Mufc77 says:

The glaizers won’t be here forever in fact I cant see them staying much longer after SAF retires. They are business men who are in it for the money and they know aswell as everyone one else once fergie retires he can speak out against the owners without fear.

Forget MUST and all those idiots calling for a boycott of games as the one person ALL fans will listen to and follow is SAF. Imagine the $hit storm if he calls for fans to boycott games and it really starts taking money from the owners pockets. They also know success on the pitch effects the bottom line and with a new manager we might have a rebuilding. Ultimitley the Glaizers greed will be what forces them into selling at some point. The sad thing is other than the debt they are very good owners and smart business men, you only have to look at much revenue has increased across the board since they arrived.

      • Matt says:

I appreciate the sentiment Alex. “I of course hate United” aside. :)

Ǎ̜̣̍м̣̣̥̇̊ so tired of ԂĄτ̲̅ transfer bt he W̶̲̥̅̊ȋ̊ƪƪ be Ǎ̜̣̍ very G̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴̴̴͡.̮Ơ̴̴̴͡D̶̲̥̅ bye.

  4. Mufc77 says:

He was never going to be sold for 15m. At that price it would be better for arsenal to hold on to him for the final year and make certain of CL football next year. 20m is top price I’d go to and if they sell berbatov for 5m then it’s a good deal for utd. As much as I like RVP I don’t think we need him but his presence would force the other strikers to up their game. I’d much prefer we spent the money on a proper box to box midfielder.

  5. milan Valko says:

It is amazing how hard the most popular and most valuable club in the world sign new players. Van Persie would be a great comfort, because Chicharito is tragic, Rooney needs to each other truly world class player and so is Robin! It can buy at any price, yesterday we saw how strong the City!

  6. BA14 says:

    Referees get shirt sponsors too?

    • John R says:

yea, if i recall correctly they had air asia on their sleeves. The expedia ones during the community shield were pretty gawdy. the bright yellow is too much.

  7. efrain says:

I’m sick of this VP transfer crap. If they are going to sell though, I hope they sell to a non-epl club. Juventus still in it?

  8. bucky says:

Juve are in talks for Llorente. RvP’s choices have dwindled. Seems it is United or stay with Arsenal. Arsenal should have him see out his contract. He can keep them in CL football perhaps even an FA Cup.

  9. Yespage says:

20 million pounds for Van Persie. According to Liverpool transfers, he is worth nothing less than 1 billion pounds.

For Man United, I’d see the transfer as being a risk. RVP was awesome last year mainly because he had a healthy year. He hasn’t had many of those.

  10. Fernando says:

For a guy who has gone on record as saying how much he loves Arsenal, it’s quite laughable that he’s going to play for another team in England.

    • MG says:

Agreed. It will tarnish his reputation at the club. RVP is different than just another roleplayer. He was/is a talisman. Go to United, of all teams on planet Earth (Sp*rs goes without saying), and he will forfeit any legendary status he may have attained throughout his years at the Arsenal.

  11. PaulF says:

Wenger should demand Welbeck too(and the 20m of course).

  12. scrumper says:

Arsenal better take it. He’s on the wrong end of his twenties, prone to injury, had a terrible Euro and will disrupt the Arsenal team if he stays. Actually Tottenham could use him more than Utd. They’ve only got one dedicated striker.

  13. Mike says:

Arsenal are holding out for 25 million from United. It’s because Wenger does not want to sell to United if he can help it. If another club came in with 20 million Wenger would gladly accept.

If United get RVP then they will believe they can take back the title from City after losing it only on goal difference last season.

    • Matt says:

They already believe it. No fletcher, cleverley or vidic for more than half the year and they still almost pulled it off.

  14. Jerry says:

Looks like United will land RVP for 22 million. If he can stay healthy he will help United win the title.
