Tottenham Hotspur Press Conference With Andre Villas-Boas and Jan Vertonghen [VIDEO]

In the build-up to tonight’s friendly between Tottenham Hotspur and New York Red Bulls, Andre Villas-Boas and Jan Vertonghen participated in a press conference yesterday at Red Bull Arena. Both the manager and footballer answered several questions from the media, including the latest fitness of Gareth Bale, what Tottenham’s impression has been of the United States so far, and how much of a difference it is for Vertonghen to have a fellow continental European at the club.

  1. Nice video of the presser. Perhaps if you know in enough time you could post asking for suggestions, I assume the american asking if the team enjoyed training at the redbull arena and if Jan was excited to play against Henry.

Just a thought, nice vid tho.

Just noticed Bake is playing upfront as a striker today…interesting

    1. It was a very last minute thing, but if we have more notice in the future, we’ll definitely ask for suggested questions.

  2. Yes! AVB speaking sense! We need to trim the excess fat from the squad BEFORE we can bring in more mouths to feed. Personally I disagree with his assessment of our goalkeepers- one is getting too old and the other 2 are calamity merchants, so its Lloris (25) and Butland (19) for me any day. AVB is right about our urgent striker needs though. Adebayor’s wages are just not value for money so i would look elsewhere. Hulk and Neymar are just as difficult to afford in every way so we must rush out and snatch up Leandro Damiao (22) from Internacional urgently! Luiz Adriano (24) from Shaktar impressed and scored in the Europa League final and is an alternative striker target I rate. And if Bentley goes, lets grab Willian (22) to challenge Lennon while were raiding the Europa League winners. And why not have a punt on the Belarus/Brazilian hybrid named Renan Bardini Bressan (23) who scored against his birth country in the olympics the other day and looked just as good as the brazilian kids! As for Modric- sell him to a rich Russian club, and then buy Ganso (22) from Santos or rescue Giuliano (20) from FC Dnipro if Moutinho is too expensive!
