Men’s Soccer Games at 2012 Summer Olympics: US TV and Internet Listings

nbc olympics soccer 600x399 Mens Soccer Games at 2012 Summer Olympics: US TV and Internet Listings

The 2012 Summer Olympics will feature over 10,000 athletes from 204 countries. Out of all of the different sporting events, there’s a lot of excitement and anticipation built around the soccer matches, for both the men and women.

For viewers in the United States, all soccer games will be shown live — including many on a dedicated NBCUniversal Soccer Channel (check your local listings to see where it’ll be on your cable or satellite system). Since the number of sporting events shown is quite massive, the number of choices of where to watch the games is quite overwhelming. But, we’ve gone ahead and dissected it for you, and have broken down where you’ll be able to see each of the men’s soccer games.

Notes:

  • All times Eastern.
  • TV listings are subject to change.
  • All games will be shown live on nbcolympics.com and NBC Olympics Live Extra app.
  • Many of the games will also be shown live on Telemundo
  • Only live listings are shown. Many of the matches will be shown on replay during evenings on NBCUniversal Soccer Channel.

  1. Ramiro says:

    What about Spanish coverage?

    • The Gaffer says:

The article mentions that most of the games will be shown live on Telemundo.

      Cheers,
      The Gaffer

      • Ramiro says:

Yeah, I read that. But I see that you have specific TV and internet listings for each game in English and not Spanish. Has Telemundo not released their complete TV schedule for games?

    • Oliver Tse says:

TODOS LOS PARTIDOS DE LA SELECCION MEXICANA SON EN VIVO Y EN DIRECTO EN TELEMUNDO

  2. While I plan to watch the men a bit, I’m mainly going to focus on the women’s tournament. Plus, some of the games mentioned that says “Live app only” or whatever, I’m guessing some of those may end up on the special NBC Olympic Soccer Channel on delay.

    • The Gaffer says:

All of the games will be on the live app and the NBCOlympics.com website. Some of them are only available via those two methods, but most of them will be live on television.

You’re correct regarding the replays. Many of the games not shown live on TV will be shown on replay on TV later that day.

      Cheers,
      The Gaffer

  3. CTBlues says:

Kind of odd that they are starting before the opening ceremonies.

    • Jeff says:

Many events start before the opening ceremonies. They have to , to allow for all the fames to be played by the end of the games as well as making sure the athletes get proper rest.

  4. Chris O says:

Gaffer, is Brazil finally getting their gold medal? Whats your opinion?

  5. Evertonian says:

Nice to see you highlighted Great Britain, I am supporting Mexico in this tournament. Brazil should thrash all comers and Spain should have a good one, But COME ON MEXICO!!!!!

  6. harry cee says:

Is anyone watching this Japanese team put a hurting on Spain????

If they made most of the chances they made, this easily could have been a 5 – 0 game

Much credit to Man Utd’s David Da Gea…with the hopes that his skill translates back into great play in the EPL this coming season!

  7. Matt says:

Spain also lost to Senegal about a week ago, you can’t compare this team to the senior NT despite the fact they are U21 Euro Champions. Don’t get me wrong, good team, but they won’t dominate games

  8. Craig says:

Some good soccer so far today. Only problem is that the commentators are absolutely horrible.

  9. NotTheNoob says:

I’d like to point out that the tv schedule posted here at EPLtalk is accurate, while the schedule at NBCOlympics.com isn’t. Score one for The Gaffer!

Don’t get me started on NBC’s on-screen-guide 12-hour programming blocks, which makes recording individual games difficult.
