Queens Park Rangers Third Shirt for 2012-13 Season [PHOTO]

World Soccer Talk

For a team that narrowly escaped relegation last season, what’s the point of having a third shirt? Other than to make money, is there one good reason?

The club’s home colors are blue and white, while QPR’s new away shirt will be red. QPR’s third shirt (see above photo) is light blue with navy blue trim. Designed by Lotto, the shirt itself isn’t bad looking at all.

According to the club website, “Modeled by R’s midfielder Ale Faurlin, the third strip – like both the new home and away jerseys – has been created by Lotto’s Research and Development Centre in close co-operation with QPR.”

Which research department is that? The one that calculates how much money the club will make from the shirt this season.
