It’s a welcome return to see Reading back in the Premier League. And today they unveiled the new kits they’ll be playing in during this upcoming season.

Designed by Puma, Reading’s new home shirt features the traditional blue and white hoops. Reading’s team crest is centered on the front of the shirt, which is a nice touch. Puma’s logo, meanwhile, is featured on the right shoulder in red and white. It makes the shirt look lopsided, but the red breaks up the blue and white design. The only feature I don’t like is the blue sleeves. I would have preferred to see the blue and white hoops continued there.

Here’s the away shirt:

As you can see from the above photo, the design of the away shirt is different than the home. There’s not too much to say about it other than it’s bright, features a v-neck collar and will certainly be noticeable when worn by players on the pitch. It’s not a winner, not a loser.
