Prisoners of the world, unite. Fulham FC has unveiled their new away shirt for the 2012-13 season, and it looks like an orange prison jumpsuit. Thankfully, Fulham and Kappa decided that the shorts will be white. Orange shorts would have been the cherry on top.

Fulham’s new away shirt is orange, presumably as a tribute to Dutch manager Martin Jol. Designed by Kappa, what makes the Fulham away shirt even worse is the very strange black collar and sleeves. The way it’s designed, it makes the orange part of the shirt look like bibs or soccer pinnies.

So far from the new shirt designs revealed for the 2012-13 Premier League season, this is undoubtedly the worst design yet.

  1. I’m fine with it. It will look good with the white shorts.

  2. Bryce Carroll says:

I think the new kit looks fine. The orange and black are a striking contrast that work well together. This article really injected too much negative bias into itself.

    • Nonsense says:

Don’t take yourself too seriously. It’s orange, hence the Gaffer’s prison jumpsuit quip. I actually don’t think it’s too bad myself. Oh and isn’t this the man’s BLOG not the Wall Street Journal where one would have to worry about a bias article instead of a funny opinon?

  3. My least favorite of Fulham’s recent kits were the 3rd kit they wore during their run to the Europa League final. Since then, I’ve been ok with every kit they’ve released.

  4. Davis says:

I like the kit. I think with white shorts it will look really good. Plus it’s something new from Fulham’s usual black and white.

  5. NC says:

“So far from the new shirt designs revealed for the 2012-13 Premier League season, this is undoubtedly the worst design yet.”

Arsenal would like to have words with you.

Maybe Fulham wanted to fill the void left by Wolves.

  6. Fernando says:

Looks like a training top. One year to design a shirt and this is what they come up with. Wow.

  7. jtm371 says:

sorry but i would vote no on the orange/prison jumpsuit.hope Fulham can get 11 guys on work release for away matches.

  8. Andrew says:

This kit is the real reason Clint Dempsey wants to play for a different side next year…

  9. Tom says:

Yeahh fair enough its not the nicest kit in the world, but to be fair, it’s the third kit – it’ll hardly be used. As long as theirs a decent home kit following, I’m happy

  10. Matt says:

at least it doesn’t have that awful built-in bra

  11. Ryan says:

Whoever wrote this is an idiot! I love it and are pre-ordering it soon!!!

  12. Robbie says:

After having read all of this site’s shirt preview articles… I must say, all of them show a taste that is rather lacking. While this is not a pretty shirt, the only thing truly ugly about it is the kappa logos – which is easily the best way of ruining any shirt.

If this is a prison jumpsuit then Wolves has been a team of prisoners since the late 19th century.

  13. Uhl says:

Still better than moss green and gold.

The black one is my favourite away kit they’ve had in a while though, so I’ll mourn it’s loss.

  14. fake says:

The long sleeved version of this kit actually looks really cool about 100x better than s/s. Check it out at the Fulham site.

  15. Ryan says:

    It’s whatever.

I don’t like when teams go bright orange or bright yellow…but that’s just an opinion. The white shorts will look good with this.
