Everton is back in black.

The Merseyside club has unveiled their official away shirt for the 2012-13 season, and it’s a distinct black color. Interestingly, The Toffees home shirt for the 1881-82 season was black.

Designed by Nike, Everton’s new away shirt is black with a pull down collar and yellow club crest, Nike logo and sponsor name.

According to Everton, “The stylish black strip with striking yellow detail is the first Everton kit to be unveiled for next season with new technical partner Nike.”

Everton are so crap at kits usually… but I love this kit.

  2. Conrad says:

looks too much like Barcelona’s away kits from this past season (which they’ll use as a 3rd kit this upcoming season).

  3. Fernando says:

    Excellent shirt.

  4. jtm371 says:

  6. Alex Wolcott says:

Nice shirt – good to see Nike did not inflict anything on them similar to what they are doing to UEFAlona this year.

  7. Thomas says:

Everton usually has something good. I personally was a fan of the pink/black away strip form about 2 years ago.

  8. Bucky says:

Recycled Barca kit. Nike just agreed to be the kit manufacturer. it doesnt look like they put much thought into it. Next season’s will probably be better or, they will recycle the current Barca sunshine kit for Everton

  9. Why? says:

Well that’s a nice shirt, makes me feel a bit better about Nike doing City’s shirts in 2013.
