It’s an instant classic. ESPN, in their infinite wisdom, has decided to re-air the classic Premier League match between Manchester City and Queens Park Rangers on television in the United States tonight.

One of the greatest matches in Premier League history will be shown on ESPN Classic at 9:30pm ET. If you missed it, you’ve got to see it to believe it. The game had everything — from a red card to shock goals, to incredible suspense and joyous celebrations.

This is a perfect opportunity to show your friends or colleagues what they’re missing. Encourage them to tune in to watch the game tonight so they can see the incredible scenes from the Premier League match that handed Manchester City their first league title in 44 years.

    The stoppage time goals were ESPN’s top play of the weekend too. Now it’s up against Josh Hamilton’s 4 HR game…you think it will get enough votes to top that?

    Too bad ESPN Classic is only in SD.

    What will need to be explained is that when QPR are down 1-0, they have to continue to fight to try and tie to stay up in the EPL and not fall to the Championship. In the US, the first Man City goal would have been the end of the game.

    I’m glad that ESPN has seen fit to re-air the game. I was surprised that initially it was not scheduled for a repeat airing at all.

    Hopefully we’ll be able to buy a copy of this match with the English commentators. This was an all-time classic no matter what sport you love.
