A photo has been leaked on the Internet featuring what appears to be Manchester City’s new home kit for the 2012-13 Premier League season.

Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov is pictured wearing the new Manchester City home shirt. As you can see from the above leaked photograph, it features black trim instead of the current white trim. The black trim is a prominent feature on the Manchester City crest, sponsor’s name and collar. Speaking of the collar, it looks quite smart.

The new Man City home shirt isn’t a departure from the tried-and-true designs that we’re used to seeing from City and Umbro. As in previous seasons, the designs are simple and clean. It’s a thumbs up from me. But what do you think? Share your opinion in the comments section below.

In the meantime, Manchester City needs your help to launch their new kit for the 2012-13 season.

The club along with Umbro is running a contest where they’re going to reward the most creative idea of how you’d launch the new Manchester City kit.

According to Umbro, “Think of an amazing way to launch one of the new Manchester City kits. Apply with an explanation of your brilliant idea and why you should be selected to launch a kit.”

The winner will receive a limited-edition City Blue Box containing the new kit. A professional film crew will then come to you and film your personal launch. Then, when Umbro and Manchester City launch the kit, your idea will be featured as part of the launch.
