We’re back with another Premier League Saturday. I, for one, am glad that we can talk about English football again. I’m getting a bit sick of non-soccer related stories that are monopolizing the coverage of the Premier League. Yes, they’re important topics, but I would much prefer to talk about the sport and league we enjoy.

Speaking of matches, Arsenal kicks off the action today against Blackburn in the early kickoff. This is a must-win game for both teams. Arsenal now sits in seventh spot with Sunderland just seven points behind (and the Black Cats are on fire). Blackburn, meanwhile, have been battling hard despite their dropped points. And I believe that Steve Kean will fancy his side getting a point here (or maybe more). This should be a match with plenty of incidents especially if we can get an early goal.

In the 10am ET/3pm GMT matches, we have six games to choose from. Fans of the Big Four may not be interested, but there could be some great games here. Stoke against Sunderland could be very entertaining with a club hitting a bad patch against the aforementioned team on fire. West Brom against Swansea will be a real ding-dong fight between the 14th and 15th place teams. Both clubs can play football, so it could be another entertaining one. Wigan is fighting for survival at home against Everton. QPR, who looked very bright against Villa mid-week, are at home against Wolves. This should be an easy home win unless Mick McCarthy’s rallying cry can wake up his Wolves side. And last, but not least, you have Norwich at home against Bolton in a match where Tim Ream may play.

The late kick-off is Manchester City versus Fulham. A month ago, you would have chalked this up as an easy home win for City. But based on City’s form the past four weeks, Fulham has a great shout for a shock win or draw here.
