Here’s a look back at the good, the bad, and the ugly from week sixteen of the Premier League.

Cheers

1.  Michael Carrick: Perhaps his best match in a United uniform.

2.  Radek Cerny:  The QPR keeper made several key saves to prevent a blowout at Loftus Road.

3. Joe Hart: He is often overlooked because of Manchester City’s star-studded quad, but Hart remains one of the better keepers in the league.

4. David Silva: In the right spot at the right time.

5. James McCarthy: Provided a strong presence in midfield for Wigan with three tackles and four interceptions.

6. Wigan:  For a club facing relegation, getting a point against Chelsea was huge.

7. Rafael van der Vaart:  Sprayed the ball around the pitch and set up the game-winning goal.

8. Michel Vorm: It seems like this is a weekly occurrence as the Swansea keeper makes numerous saves to preserve the clean sheet.

9. Leon Osman: The Everton winger was involved in the build up all match long.  He sent in several crosses and scored the single goal for the home side.

10. John Ruddy:  Norwich’s man between the sticks turned away six shots against the Toffees.

11. James Morrison: A wonderful strike gave West Brom an early lead against Blackburn.

12. Clint Dempsey:  Along with Bryan Ruiz, the two Fulham wingers were the standouts against Bolton.

13.  Craig Bellamy: Back in the top flight, Bellamy was dazzling this weekend with a goal and an assist in Liverpool’s victory against Villa.

Jeers

1.  QBR goalscoring: Rangers are tied for the fewest league goals scored this year.  Home fans have to be particularly upset that they have only seen six shots find the back of the net at Loftus Road.

2.  Shaun Wright-Phillips: The summer transfer signing was very quiet against Manchester United.

3. Alex Song:  A rare off day for the usually steady midfielder.

4. Petr Cech:  He can’t be blamed totally for the outcome this weekend, but he mishandled a ball that lead to the game-tying goal.

5. Chelsea: The Wigan match was a major let down performance after ending Manchester City’s unbeaten run earlier in the week.

6. Connor Wickham:  The Sunderland forward showed little promise against Tottenham and was removed at halftime.

7.  Gabriel Obertan: He struggled to get anything going against the strong Swansea defense.

8. Everton: They did avoid a third consecutive defeat, but this is a match that most fans were sure three points would be the result.

9. Jonathan Woodgate: He was forced to play out of position and it showed.

10. Wolverhampton: After taking an early lead against Stoke, Wolves fell apart in the second half.

11. Steve Kean: The fan’s protests keep getting louder and louder.

12. Darren Pratley: Fulham ran through Bolton’s defense all match long.  Pratley’s lackluster display was part of the reason for this.

13.  Darren Bent: Apparently, Bent wanted to get his holiday shopping done early this year.
