Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli continued his run of form with another goal, and this time it was a beautiful overhead kick against Aston Villa.

The Italian scored his fourth goal in his last four games for City. The goal, combined with goals from teammates Vincent Kompany, James Milner and Adam Johnson helped City defeat Aston Villa 4-1 and means that the blue half of Manchester is now top of the table courtesy of Manchester United drawing against Liverpool.

Can Manchester City go all the way? And can Balotelli continue his goalscoring streak? The future will tell.

Milner’s goal was fantastic as well, great build up and really composed finish.

City was top of the table around Christmas last year, although United had a few games in hand. This year, City is a completely different team, everything about their play is much better, the team really works well together now. I think it would be ridiculous to count this team out or hand the title to United, just like it would be ridiculous to count United out. City has a deeper squad to make it through the season, also… I fear them crashing out of the group stage. If they do, I think the title is 60% City’s. Both City and United played third choice striker’s today alone upfront. City’s was Balotelli, and United’s was Welbeck. With International and midweek games, that is a nice problem for City to have.

  2. Taylor D says:

    Man city still suck

  3. Ian Green says:

All good stuff for Man City, but not sure I would want Balotelli in my team, looks like he could explode at any time during a game.

Ian i think you are on some serious drugs or smoking some really bad stuff? Balotelli is the next big thing! (period) he has all the attributes to be the next top striker in the world, and guess what he’s is only 21. I know that he had problems in the past but every dog has his day? and Balotelli’s days look bright for the future. BALOTELLI THE BEST WORLD PERIOD! NEXT QUESTION?
