The time has come for the final day of the 2011 summer transfer window. Between now and 11pm UK time (6pm ET), we’ll find out which clubs will finalize some last minute deals.

6:57pm: And that completes our transfer deadline countdown today. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed it. Feel free to share your feedback regarding today’s transfers in the comments section below.

6:55pm: Fulham have signed Orlando Sa from Nacional of Portugal.

6:28pm: Arsenal has officially confirmed that they have signed Mikel Arteta from Everton on a four-year deal.

6:26pm: Yakubu has joined Blackburn Rovers.

6:15pm: Sky Sports News is reporting that Mikel Arteta is now an Arsenal player. We are, however, awaiting official confirmation. If the deal does go through, the only question mark about Arteta is his fitness. He’s been very injury prone for Everton, but the footballer is an incredible talent and will play a pivotal role at Arsenal if he can remain fit. For Everton, however, it’s a bit of a blow. They needed the money but they ran out of time to get any replacements. They have signed Royston Drenthe from Real Madrid (although he’s hardly as good as Arteta). Plus they picked up an Argentine striker earlier today.

6:12pm: The deal for Raul Meireles from Chelsea to Liverpool is now official.

6:08pm: A loan deal has been agreed for Niklas Bendtner from Arsenal to Sunderland. Finally, the Danish player has left the North London club. Should be a great opportunity for him to shake off his baggage and start playing games (and scoring goals) for another club.

6:06pm: A deal has been agreed between Chelsea and Liverpool for the transfer of Raul Meireles to Stamford Bridge, but personal terms have yet to be agreed. The deal may still happen, though. This one came out of the blue by Meireles, but if he’s unhappy at not getting enough playing time at Liverpool, what will he think at Chelsea? Definitely a class player, though.

6:02pm: FOX Soccer’s live coverage of Sky Sports will continue until 7pm ET (huzzah). Meanwhile, Sky Sports is hyping things up way beyond reality. Jermaine Jenas, meanwhile, has joined Aston Villa on a loan deal.

5:59pm: Craig Bellamy will be wearing number 39 for Liverpool. The deal for Arteta looks likely to go through for Arsenal, while Stoke is finalizing paperwork for Peter Crouch. Meanwhile, will Niklas Bendtner finally leave Arsenal? And will FOX Soccer keep running Sky Sports or will they go back to their regular programming?

5:51pm: We’re now entering the last few minutes of the 2011 summer transfer window. Will Arteta be going to Arsenal?
