A this time of year the tabloids morph into a machine of unadulterated speculation with very little footing in reality, churning out transfer speculation in the hope of shifting a few extra copies.
Suddenly every journalist has inside sources that they just cannot reveal and the inside scoop on who is moving where, working on the principle that if you throw enough mud some of it will stick.
