Blackburn Rovers Away Shirt for 2011-12 Season: Leaked Photo

blackburn rovers away shirt1 Blackburn Rovers Away Shirt for 2011 12 Season: Leaked Photo

The away shirt for Blackburn Rovers next season will be yellow and black, according to a photo leaked on the Internet.

The design of the shirt features a Y-neck, which is consistent with the design that Umbro created for the New York Cosmos. The yellow Blackburn away shirt features black sleeves and what appears to be a blue and white scarf design at the back of the collar.

There’s not a lot much more to say about the design other than it looks like an old-fashioned goalkeeper jersey (imagine this shirt with long sleeves). Sadly the shirt design lacks the creativity and inspiration that Blackburn’s home shirt possesses.

What do you think of the new design? Share your opinion in the comments section below. And don’t forget, for the largest selection of Premier League shirts for all 20 clubs, visit the EPL Talk Shop.

that would be a no vote on the mustard away shirt! Blackburn bumble bees

  2. James says:

Like this last year’s better. These are quite plain, though it could be worse.

  3. ant says:

I had a similar rovers shirt back in the early 90′s, i reckon it must have been 92/93, Retro Design….sort of!

  4. reidscott says:

Butt Ugly…have never been a fan of yellow on jerseys…

  5. ajk says:

    yellow yek ugly

  6. brn442 says:

At least it is not all black. I wasn’t too impressed when I first saw it but it is growing on me. The sleeves look a bit ill-fitting, not the “tailored” look we’re used to from recent umbro kits. Maybe, if Jason Roberts wear a snug fitting medium, he will score 20 goals next season – perhaps.

  7. Paddie says:

I hate it. Worse away shirt for blackburn EVER!!!!!!!!! Lacks everything just like the manager. Please change it!!!!!

  8. OZTHEMAN says:

best one is the Milan home kit red and black.. this umm

  9. Rammstone says:

    It looks like a chicken..

  10. Brian says:

This is a terrible effort. I looked at Sunderland’s home and away shirts with optimism that Umbro would equal the efforts put into those fantastic designs for us. Of course they didn’t. This looks like one they fashioned for a Championship side. Figures…

  11. Rick says:

I’m definitely not a fan of the yellow. Have they shown what the home jersey will look like this year? because I’m not buying this one.

    • James says:

Nothing official. The only thing I’ve seen for the new home kits are what the new mascot has been wearing in some photo ops for the Asia Trophy tourney later on this summer. It’s a bit different than this year’s in design, with some red trim back in the mix (at least on the sleeves) and there’s no sponsor as of yet, either.

  12. Matt says:

    I FEEL UNWELL

  13. Bob, Blackburn says:

Tweety-Pie yellow. Brilliant, that’s all we need. What next? Yellow shorts and red socks to compliment the outfit.
