After forty six hard fought games Swansea, Reading, Cardiff and Nottingham Forest have been rewarded for their efforts with a place on the play off rollercoaster.

The play offs consist of two rounds; a two legged semi final where third plays sixth and third plays fourth and a final played at Wembley, with the winner gaining the play off trophy and a place in the Premier League.

The draw itself has also set up a potential all Wales final with Cardiff and Swansea kept apart, which will be a relief to the Welsh Police who would not have relished refereeing the opposition fans who do not like each other at the best of times.

The games start on tomorrow with Nottingham Forest hosting Swansea with Cardiff travelling to Reading on Friday with the reverse fixtures taking place next week.

The play off final has been dubbed the most valuable game in World football and of the four qualifying sides only the winner will be remembered, with failure like a dagger to the heart.

Swansea, Cardiff and Nottingham Forest will go into this process rueing lost opportunities, having at various parts of the season lead the running to secure second place and automatic promotion only to fall away.

The most dramatic disappearance of form hit  Nottingham Forest, who after becoming favourites for promotion  fell away dramatically in April to almost miss out on the play offs, only a late rally allowed the Reds to squeeze back into the play off places.

Reading however are the form team losing only one of their last fifteen league matches in a run that included ten victories.

Making accurate predictions in the Championship is difficult at the best of times and virtually impossible for the play offs with an argument to be made for the chances of each side.

However I am going to tip Nottingham Forest as they are in mediocre form and have struggled in the play offs in recent years, I translate this to mean that in true Championship style they will overturn the rule book and romp to the Premier League.
