We’ve finally got our hands on photos of Arsenal’s home kit for the 2011-12 season courtesy of leaked photos taken from Arsenal’s upcoming product catalog.

In December 2010, we published a photo of the Arsenal home shirt design. And as you can see, it was close to what the above shirt looked like. The biggest difference is the single red stripe down the side of the shirt which is a new feature that an Arsenal home shirt design has never had. Arsenal shirts have had three red Adidas stripes before, but never one. The other prominent feature is the 125th year anniversary crest. As we showed you two weeks ago, the crest features the word ‘Forward’ under it. According to ArsenalInsider.com, the 15 laurel leaves to the left side of the crest reflect the design detail on the reverse of the six pence pieces paid by 15 men to establish the club – the laurel leaves also represent strength. The 15 oak leaves to the right of the crest give a nod to the founders who, as you probably know, would meet in the Royal Oak pub. Underneath the crest is one of the first recorded mottos related to armament and battle – ‘Forward’.

The shirt will be available for pre-order after midnight tonight (as we told you last week) and will officially be available as of June 9. Expect Arsenal’s website to be launching more photos of the shirt tomorrow.

In the meantime, here’s another photo of the shirt featuring an action shot with Gael Clichy:
