Arsenal have announced the three teams who will be competing in the 2011 Emirates Cup against Arsenal, the annual tournament that is played at Emirates Stadium in north London.

This year’s opponents will be New York Red Bulls, Paris Saint Germain and Boca Juniors.

The tournament will be played July 30-31. The tournament schedule is as follows:

  • July 30: New York Red Bulls vs Paris Saint Germain
  • July 30: Arsenal v Boca Juniors
  • July 31: Boca Juniors v Paris Saint Germain
  • July 31: Arsenal v New York Red Bulls

This will particularly be a good test for Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls who will face two historic European teams. And the prospect of seeing Boca Juniors in action in London is definitely a rare treat.

As A NYRB fan I’m excited, but as an Arsenal fan it will be tough to root against the Red Bulls when the two teams meet.

I’m also very excited to Juan Agudelo play against better players.

  4. Robin says:

This is great. Of course as a NYRB fan and Arsenal FC fan I would one day love to see in the news paper “NYRB WONDER-KID JUAN AGUDELO COMPLETES 10 MILLION POUND MOVE TO ARSENAL FC”. Hopefully when Arsenal FC play NYRB Wenger will see and like Agudelo and try for him in 2-3 years time when Agudelo is a full US member.

  6. Dan says:
