Assuming that Queens Park Rangers secure the points for promotion this leaves Norwich, Swansea, Cardiff and Reading battling it out for the final guaranteed place in the Premier League next season.

With only three points separating 2nd and 4th place the final four games could shift the balance dramatically game by game, if all these teams struggle, then Swansea hold an outside chance five points back.

Today ChampionshipTalk looks at the teams involved in the run in and the fixtures that stand between them and Premier League football.

Cardiff – Current Position 4th (75 points)

Starting one point ahead of Norwich, Cardiff’s fate is in their own hands. However with their next game a potential promotion party for QPR the Bluebirds will need to maximise their returns in their final three games to win promotion.

 QPR (H)

Preston (A)

Middlesbrough (H)

Burnley (A)

Prediction: 3rd

 Norwich – Current Position 3rd (74 points)

Norwich have a shot at back to back promotions after an impressive campaign.

Today’s East Anglian derby could be definitive as victory could put their promotion challenge back in their own hands.

The rest of their run in steers clear of the main promotion and relegation candidates so four wins from four is a realistic target for Paul Lamberts side. with their bitter rivals the main threat to their chances.

Ipswich (A)

Derby (H)

Portsmouth (A)

Coventry (H)

Prediction: 3rd

 Reading – Current Position 4th (72 points)

Reading have been on fire in recent weeks storming up the table and barging their way into the automatic promotion race.

With arguably the easiest run in of the three realistic challengers Reading could overcome the three point gap to usurp Cardiff and Norwich.

I predict that Reading will continue their late surge and claw their way back to the Premier League.

 Leeds (A)

Sheffield United (H)

Coventry (A)

Derby (H)

Prediction: 2nd
