Arsenal Away Shirt For 2011-12 Season: Photo

arsenal away shirt 2011 2012 Arsenal Away Shirt For 2011 12 Season: Photo

A photo of what appears to be Arsenal’s away shirt for the 2011-12 season has been leaked on the Internet.

The picture of the shirt is an artist’s impression of what the shirt will look like according to trusted sources who provided the information to ArsenalInsider.com.

The unusual shirt design, by Arsenal standards, features a mixture of navy blue and cyan on a Nike shirt.

The away shirt features the 125th anniversary logo to celebrate Arsenal’s history (they were founded in 1886 as Dial Square).

What do you think of the new shirt? Share your feedback in the comments section below.

  1. Murph says:

I’m in, that’s one sharp jersey!

  2. RM says:

No bad at all, hope its the real thing.

  3. AH says:

Not cool, they should stay with the away jersey being yellow

  4. Kyle says:

Hideously ugly. Revoltingly ugly. I’m really glad I’m not an Arsenal fan. The yellow is much, much better.

  5. Brian says:

    Nerd jersey

  6. Martin says:

Holy Mary Mother of God that is awful.

  7. Brett says:

I’m beginning to think this may be close to the real thing based on something Andrei Arshavin said:

    12. From Nkitabozhok
Hi Andrey, Do know what your new Arsenal uniform will look like?
AA: I know, and I’ll tell you. Our guest uniform next season will look like jockey’s clothes.

  8. Brett says:

Andrei Arshavin thinks it looks like something a jockey would wear and I agree.

  10. zaragooner says:

As long as it is not Banana Yellow kit-you can count me in!!!

  11. harsh says:

    hate the new logo :(

  12. Matt says:

I hope someday the Arsenal go back to Adidas ? Nike is always a boring look.

Also I don’t think is the new away kit I heard on ATVO that they would be yellow and navy to stay with AFC tradition.

I just hope they win in whatever they wear! Gunners rule

  13. Gooner says:

instead of blue & cyan, it should be Yellow & black

  14. luke says:

I like it, a throwback to the retro blue kit in the early 90′s.

  15. Tesfa says:

Totally, the Jersy is not smell and sound as Arsenal.

  16. geki says:

i love their yellow away kit this year
this new one looks like crap

  17. rizqo widya asmara says:

Blue was not arsenal’s lucky colour, yellow did better

  18. tommysunshine says:

Some Arsenal fans are sooo ignorant, they take parody to the edge of its limits.
I find it delightful that in the last decade Arsenal have acquired a huge fan base in the US and yet not won a trophy in seven years.
Arsene Wenger should be sacked tomorrow but he is unsackable. Why? Because of his resume while managing Arsenal. His illustrious past is condemning his present side to a bleak future.
But is his record so illustrious?
I’m not so sure. Yes, he won the double in 1998 and 2002. 1998 was an awesome achievement but in 2002 Manchester United cracked up. 2004 invincibles? Not quite. Robert Pires cheated to win a penalty against Portsmouth that amounts to the biggest individual instance of fraud in the modern game. Their conduct against manchester united in the ‘pizza gate’ affair in september 2003 was deplorable.
Now you can say the purpose of football is to win at all costs, using means however foul and cheating your way to glory. If so the invincibles should be held in the highest regard. But if you take the view that the spirit in which a team plays matters, that it’s how you win that matters, not how many times you win then Arsenal’s achievements under Wenger are forever tarnished.
Much has been written about Arsenal’s lamentable record since 2005. I will onlysay this: Contrary to myth, Wenger has spent money, plenty of it. He’s just spent it unwisely and tested his attack-minded philosophy to destruction with the most failed experiment since 1818 when Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein was published.
And yet, he is safe in his position, although it is revealing that many deluded gooners want the club’s new owners should exert more pressure on Wenger. Do Man U fans want the Glazers to exert pressure on Ferguson? Do Spurs fans wish Levy to control Redknapp? Er, no.
So we’re in this position now when Arsenal fans would like to see Wenger go but are too scared to say so and thereby are treating him like a child with special needs: ‘we just need a carer to look after him and show him the way.’ If there is a more humiliating spectacle in modern sport, I am unaware of it,

    • Brett says:

Umm….I’m not sure how the colors of Arsenal’s away jersey for next season leads to a comment about Arsene Wenger or Arsenal’s footballing exploits or the ignorance of their fans.

Perhaps you should have saved your comment for someplace else.

    • Dave C says:

      Tommy
On another thread, you said that you wished others would read more and write less. I think you should follow your own advice. Seriously, an article about the colour scheme of a shirt prompts you to write an essay belittling Wenger’s record as boss?

And you think a dive by Pires against Portsmouth was the “biggest individual instance of fraud in the modern game.”??? Are you serious? I don’t even remember it. I can think of another French former Gunner who has a much better claim to that title.

    • hurr says:

Are all gloryhunters this stupid, as in they can’t form coherent sentences and can’t seem to even separate paragraphs? I suppose that’s why they’re gloryhunters in the first place, though. Too much of an idiot to think for himself.

  19. tommysunshine says:

Dear Brett, Arsene Wenger is the manager of Arsenal. He has been managing them since fall 1996.
Delighted to inform you of this.
    Best of good wishes,
    Tommy Sunshine

    • al says:

Yeah we know that but what has that got to do with the design of Arsenals shirt? Keep on topic !!!!

btw I like this shirt though would prefer that the badge was in colour with a golden wreath rather than white..

  20. chege says:

    love di jersey

  21. Patrickdayton says:

Truly Hideous. A cross between Lazio/Spurs/Chelsea/Rangers/Birmingham/any other team in Blue!!

We’re not bluenoses!! But someone in Corporate Arsenal certainly is!!

This appears to be a joke at our expense.

    Red and blue perhaps,
    Yellow and blue certainly.
Blue and Blue – who are you trying to kid??

  22. Fee says:

Gonna go ahead an call this one. If this shirt sees the light of day it will be as a training shirt, nothing more… Thank you and good night!

  23. tommysunshine says:

Yes, go ahead Gooners, wax lyrical about the shirt. It’s so much more important than your empty trophy cabinet, your inability to respond to defeat in the proper manner, your deluded and unsuccessful manager, your unhappy captain, your out-of-sorts strikeforce, your disillusioned star midfielder.
Guess what? Next year it’s 20 years of Fever Pitch so you’ll be able to deflect attention on 2011-12 failure by banging on about Hornby.
As parody, you lot are priceless.

    • Martin says:

You don’t think we complain about those other things as well? Should we vent those concerns in EVERY Arsenal related post on epltalk.com?

If The Gaffer posts an article on the renaming of the North and South brdges, should we lament on how the team should be focusing on filling the trophy cabinet than dedicating walkways to the stadium?

Are you that much of an idiot?

    • will says:

Why are you even on an Arsenal page if you are not a Gooner? Because only pole smokers go around talking trash on other team’s threads. You suck at life and need to find a new hobby.

P.S. I bet you are a dirty Manc too huh? Only a Manc sucks bad enough to pull that.

      In Arsene We Trust

  24. pacificStyle says:

Eww! Just threw up a little.

  25. anime_anarchist says:

Seriously not excited about this jersey. I don’t mind them changing. But this just doesn’t look good to me.

  26. coded gunner says:

tommysunshine should be banned from commenting on the grave and serious grounds of immense idiocy, hey sunshine, please do us a favor and smash your head against your monitor until your unconscious, thanks.

  27. coded gunner says:

@admin, i get, no bad language. before you start smashing your head against the monitor , what clu b do you support anyway? don’t they have forums? why not go give them the benefit of your wisdom, by wisdom i mean……. yeah, u know what i mean. oh yeah, the jersey is crap, that was what i wanted to say before i read dear sunshine’s comments

  28. gunner kuwait says:

fu*k off mr sunshine , yellow away shirt suits us better

  29. Phillip Bird says:

Dear oh dear..we’ll be confused with Coventry, or Moan City..!

    (jesuswept..)

    Phil

  30. tomfegan says:

the badge looks like smething from call of duty

  31. Adah says:

What they wear is inconsequential to how they perform! All efforts should be directed towards signing quality players with strength and stamina else the quality or design of any kit is wasted!!!

  32. J-Goon says:

It’s funny to read some people going off-topic so they can rage against each other. Still going through puberty and have to strut around a little?

The jersey/shirt looks great (and who f-ing cares which you prefer). And these are Arsenal’s third colors. Hated this year’s away combo myself.

And for those who still mistakenly think “soccer” is an American term– nope, it originated in England.
    http://www.soccer-fans-info.com/origin-of-the-word-soccer.html

  33. J-Goon says:

    Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary
    http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary
    “Main Entry: soc·cer
    Pronunciation: ‘sä-k&r
    Function: noun
Etymology: by shortening & alteration from association football
    Date: 1889
: a game played on a field between two teams of 11 players each with
the object to propel a round ball into the opponent’s goal by kicking
or by hitting it with any part of the body except the hands and arms
    – called also association football”

    • AVFC1071 says:

True but it is unused within our society. Although it may have originated here the yanks have adopted it. It was supposed to be a nickname for football they think its the name of the sport.

      • The Gaffer says:

Give me a break. Have you considered the following? Soccer AM? Gillette Soccer Saturday? Pro Evolution Soccer? The Brits use the term too.

        Cheers,
        The Gaffer

  34. Kami says:

whats the point moaning about wenger or how we havent won a trophy in ages, arsenal are way better then 98% of the clubs in this country and for example a west ham fan would jizz if they were in our position so stop crying and cheer on your team and the silverware will come…

  35. John Andri says:

    Love it!

  36. Alex says:

That shirt is mint and thats coming from a man utd fan :)

  37. gunner_til_die says:

I merely to say dreadful and ugly, without meaning for this anniversary. I suggest a classic yellow and blue shirt

  38. AJSTYLES says:

    @tommysunshine

Buddy… u are not an arsenal fan.. Dont bash a great club like Arsenal… You have some valid points about Wenger and yes he is wrong about his principles to a great extent… But You cry like a baby moaning, bitching .. “OMG! Arsenal cheated against Portsmouth …and they dont deserve to be invincibles…biggest individual instance of fraud in the modern game” How many times have Cristiano or Nani or Rooney have dived and won penalty. Same with Drogba or Babel or Torres… And I have not mentioned Spurs’ Players because that would to be an insult to the Gunners. The fact is , only time Sir Alex was worried about title chances were the days when Wenger had great players from 1998-2005. And he is the only one who has challenged Sir Alex on numerous occasions. Arsenal was always in top two from 98-05. They have cleared the group stage of the Champions league consistently for 13 consecutive years. Also ,what you have not mentioned is the Financial stability Wenger has provided to the Club. Wenger has spent money? Give me the statistical data and I will agree with you. Whatever he has spent is quite less that what other big clubs have.

  39. DanBoe says:

dead right, woyld love to see the yellow and black back with the red print and red thread, 1988 style i think… even this new supposed semi marseille/monaco jersey or as Arshavin says a Jockys uniform,,
    i like it..

re do of the 1995 away jersey..

  40. kananura brian says:

barcelona’s shirt looks the best this coig season. That is the away shirt

  41. kan says:

When’s that, when your grand children are 30?

  42. JDOG123 says:

That’s definitely the one with evidence from the arsenal website to back this up. the training kit is obviously red and white for the home kit and there are a few other bits of training gear which happen to to be dark blue indicating that this in fact is the real deal, also further backed up with a photo shoot of the Wilshere in the home shirt with this shirt laying on a chair in the near distance, so I am 95% sure this is the one.

  43. aaron says:

this is goin to be the new away kit cause on the arsenal website it has some training stuff the same colour as it

  44. bobby says:

football is a different game in north america !

  45. SongBillong says:

Wow, I hope that it’s real – it looks amazing! We’d certainly stand out from the other teams in that. Looks slightly like a training shirt but there’s nothing wrong with that at all. I like it a lot!

  46. Gooner_Odin says:

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, that sunshine doosh bag.. ;)

The shirt isn’t the best but hell i’m going to buy it if it really is the new away kit anyhow !!
I do think yellow would be better and I liked it more when the crest was in the middle of the chest.

  47. Stay fab pls says:

Stop with this shirt nonsense!!!! Lets focus on new players and trophies!!

  48. GUNNER Yami says:

Can’t believe this is what those guyz are going to be putting on. I think the 07-08 away jersey was better than this….. boring…..aaaaaaaasssssssshhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

  49. Luuk says:

This is the new away kit. I can confirm it. I work in a soccer specialty store, and the Nike rep showed this to me personally. It’s not bad, but I think I would prefer the yellow as well. On a side note, I’m really disappointed that Liverpool signed a deal with Warrior and will no longer wear Adidas starting in 2012-13.

  50. MQ says:

We’re all wrong you see the new kits on the new arsenal player app when watching the promo for it there are teal where the red is black where the white is there are quite sharp looking and can see warmup kits on arsenal shopping link! So the kit posted is not it! Check out arsenal player on arsenal.com

    Peace

  51. kris says:

I’m a gooner by blood but i wouldn’t wear that, it’s too plain and frankly a bit ugly – they should just do the home kit in Blue or Yellow and leave it at that if they are that starved for ideas.!!

  52. Joe Hart says:

That shirt will probably win us some trophies, i love it

  53. graham says:

looks like should be wycombe wanderers kit ….. in wenger we trust

  54. Red_Devil_Killer says:

    Smells like manure

  55. Matt says:

It’s crap. It’s horrible. And has nothing to do with Arsenal. And its shirt. Not a jersey. Idiot. No person in this country, who has any sort of semblance of an idea of English football, goes in to a sports shop anywhere in the world and asks for the latest Arsenal jersey ! Arsenal you have let us down again. A poll of a thousand Gooners were asked what colour our away kit should be. Over 800 replied ‘Yellow’. Thanks for listening to us. Again.

  56. jake sorrell says:

I love this kit and to all the supposed “gooners” you know nothing of arsenal our original away colours were white not yellow is as much of a wrong colour for arsenal as blue.

  57. Gary says:

Im an arsenal fan, and wont be partning with my money for this shirt unless we get to a cup final and were classed as the away team. badge is tac same as the home shirt…hey arsenal if we keep brining out all these new kits every year, can we please spend the money on new players rather than a nursary.

  58. TINASHE KAIRIZA says:

the away shirt is fine-but please we got to lift trophies this season.Go Gunners Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
