Liverpool Away Shirt for 2011-12 Season: Is This It?

liverpool away shirt Liverpool Away Shirt for 2011 12 Season: Is This It?

Is this Liverpool’s new away shirt for the 2011-12 season? It certainly is that time of the year when new football shirt designs are leaked on the Internet. Whether the one pictured above is real or not, we have little information at this time. But it’s still worth taking a look at it and debating.

Designed by Adidas, the white away shirt features a blue trim. The choice of blue is a bit suspect given Liverpool’s neighbors Everton and their arch-”enemies” Chelsea.

If this is Liverpool’s new away shirt for the 2011-12 season, what do you think about it? Share your opinion in the comments section below.

  1. Andyb says:

    Looks purple to me.

  2. tyler says:

nope. Clearly Photoshopped. Look at the club badge. Or how the blue is a weirdly luminous shade.

Not to mention — Adidas wouldn’t use the same shirt template two years in a row. Not for a big club like Liverpool, anyway.

  3. Ryan M. says:

There’s no way they’d ever wear blue like that.

    Does look photoshopped as well.

  4. Adam says:

If anything, it looks like a training top.

  5. jose says:

why they gotta copy the new columbus crew shirt from mls, the design not the colors. lol

  6. buck says:

    Looks purple to me too.

  7. onions says:

I sense more protests if this is legit

  8. Larsen says:

They should out of their minds to design a top with blue.
    This is absolute bullsh*t

  9. Alan says:

Poor photoshop that. Schalke away kit for next season that….

  10. Keith says:

If it is the new away shirt, I’m not gonna buy it. I agree with Larsen

  11. jose says:

damm, lmao. could you imagine if all these people were anderlecht fans, love the purple people, lmao.

  12. rolando says:

looks like the current chelsea away shirt

  13. EDub says:

    Real Madrid – lite

  14. LFCrealRED says:

don’t know if anyone has also said but look how high the adidas badge is :S def photoshopped

  15. Robbo95 says:

    That’s nicked off rawk

  16. Bishopville Red says:

Never been a fan of the lame Adidas Templates and always thought big clubs like Liverpool deserve something more unique. But they wore those crappy old Adidas Equipment kits in the mid 90s, so all bets are off.

Russia recently switched to almost this design (with stars in the to swooped area) so this style, though it’s been around for a while, is still in play for Adidas next year:

OF COURSE it’s photoshopped, you morons! It’s a mock-up of what to expect, not the actual, FFS! That doesn’t immediately rule out the design for next year.

  17. gaz says:

i already have this top? its from the MLS, this site sucks man!!! its not even a good photoshop??? pffft!

  18. Andrew says:

This is the new color way for the 2012 away strip. Adidas calls it white/cyan on their wholesale website.

  19. Andrew says:

Correction on my post. This is actually the new 3rd strip. The new away is grey and silver.

  20. Craig says:

I wouldn’t wipe my arse with it

  21. Jerome says:

Looks like fernando torres is confused ,no head confused

  22. Poul Erik Andersen says:

This looks like a Real Madrid or Chelski away shirt! I certainly hope we will never have a Liverpool shirt that looks anything like that!!!

  23. StellaWasAlwaysDown says:

Can’t see this being a Liverpoolian shirt. Completely uninspiring design too!

  24. Rom says:

    a. This is surely NOT an official away shirt desing. And I don’t think we’ll be back in our… FIRST YEARS’ colors (blue/white)! More likely, would be yellow or the traditional white/black.

    b. For those they’re writing SILLY comments for Liverpool… We, now, may not GREAT club as we were in the past. But! EVEN the ManU SC*MS used to writing in their official web-site about us “the MOST SUCCEFUL team in Britain”!… And, like it or not, been rivals or not, WE ARE the most successful team in Britain and one of the TOP-FIVE of Europe!!!… It’s not mine (or our) opinion. The NUMBERS (of victories, trophies, etc.) saying so!… So, leave aside your HATENESS about us and be REASONABLE! I’m reasonable. I’m fanatic LFC supporter, but I can’t (of course) say now “Curently, we have a good team”, because we don’t. But, we have the GREATEST/MOST GLORIOUS HISTORY in Britain – and that’s a fact, it’s written, in EVERY football encyclopedia!

YNWA, till the death! Once “Red”, always “Red”! “As KOPites… as HOPLITES”!

    (“Thessaloniki LFC Branch”, Greece –

  25. ElSuarez says:

Doesn’t anyone else see that the D in chartered is/was green… color swap using photoshop. If the design is indeed a prototype for the liverpool jersey it could be green, we haven’t worn our green kit in while. There is no way the color will be blue.

  26. Sean says:

Back to the early ’80s I see. I like it.

I am just thankful we are not seeing a return to that 2004-2005 yellow kit template (which I have the misfortune of owning) or that dreaded ecru from the 1996-1997 season.

With respect to the third kit, is that purple or blue?

It would truly be strange to see Liverpool incorporating purple in their kit. For those of you that think blue would be a strange choice too, Liverpool’s original colors are blue and white and have used blue in a change kit as recently as the 2001-2002 season.

  27. GrimmoGames33 says:

I would really like this to be Liverpool’s new away kit, but I’m almost 100% positive that this is fake. In my opinion Adidas should consider this a design for the future.

  28. jerome says:

like i said somebody is a Torres freek cos Torres is wearing blue he that somebody wants liverpool FC to wear blue.Get that Torres out yo head
and put SUAREZ in LFC is Red,Grey,Yellow or black so blue does not fit in.
