It’s been a very long time since the margin of difference in talent between Manchester United and Manchester City has been this thin. Whatever happens, it’s going to be a very close game with so much on the line. A win for City will catapult their league title ambitions. A win for United will move them into pole position to win the league. A draw will satisfy both teams. I can’t wait.

In addition to United against City, there are several more tantalizing matches on board including Sunderland against Spurs, Arsenal versus Wolves (can Mick McCarthy’s side continue their amazing run of form against the Big Four?), Liverpool against Wigan (which will be a good test to see if Liverpool can play as well against lower teams in the table; Wigan meanwhile will be desperate for at least a point), Blackburn against Newcastle (when it’s Blackpool, there are usually plenty of goals in store), West Brom versus West Ham (can the Hammers continue to get precious points?), Birmingham against Stoke (which will be a close match, for sure) and, last but not least, Blackburn against Newcastle (will the Magpies still be flying high since last Saturday)?
