There was a time when coverage of United States’ players outside Major League Soccer could have fit into one podcast. The growing influence of the U.S.’s best on the global games means my co-host, Christopher Riordan, and myself will have a series of shows this week discussing those players in or on the fringe of the U.S. Men’s National Team player pool who are plying their trade away from MLS. Today, we start at the top, looking at England, talking about the names you’re likely to know but one or two who, at lower levels, may have drifted from the radar.

Today’s show ends with a brief discussion of third-party ownership as we consider the fate of Gale Agbossoumonde, recently loaned out to Djugarden in Sweden, where his next league match is scheduled for April 4.

Though, over the course of the week, we get to a huge list of player, not every player with a drop of U.S. blood will be covered; still, from Europe to Mexico to Asian, we’ll get you up to date on that state of United States’ players abroad.
