Cupcakes, Re-Entry, Friendlies and Loans: Major League Soccer Talk Podcast

“Camp Cupcake” is what we affectionately call it, but for the 24 players who will be in Carson next month, the camp represents their next chance to further their U.S. Men’s National Team aspirations. On this edition of the Major League Soccer Talk podcast, myself and co-host Christopher Riordan look at the group Bob Bradley and U.S. Soccer have called into their annual winter camp – a motley crew of future components, MLS part timers, surging veterans, and familiar faces.

Also, Richard asks, of the MLS Re-Entry Draft, “What the hell was that?” The two week, two phase, too drawn out ordeal ended mid-month. Richard and Chris take inventory of the effects and the bizarre.

Finally: Landon Donovan stays, willingly. David Beckham stays, resigned. The U.S. will go to Cairo to meet the Pharoahs’ revenge. The winter shall be glorious for fans of the USMNT.

It’s all on this edition of the Major League Soccer Talk podcast.

Good podcast guys. News about MLS is slim pickens so any news is good. Richard, it’s good to hear you again. I’ve been busy with my own business. Can’t wait for the season to start.
