With the big match of the weekend between Tottenham and Liverpool not being played until tomorrow, it gives us the great opportunity to watch some intriguing Premier League games today.

The early kick-off between Aston Villa and Arsenal will see the return of Robert Pires on the same pitch as the Gunners. Villa Park is often a difficult place to win points and Arsenal need them desperately to make up for last weekend’s shock loss to Tottenham. So this match should be riveting to watch without a doubt.

For the 10am ET/3pm GMT fixtures, there are several delightful ones to choose from. The “Save Our Season” clash between West Ham United and Wigan will be a must-see. If West Ham loses, Avram Grant may be sacked in the morning. Meanwhile, at the beginning of the season if you told me that Bolton against Blackpool would have been a must-see match, I would have thought you were insane. But the game is a must-see especially with both clubs being so attacking in nature.

Stoke against Man City will be fascinating to watch to see if another giant killing can take place. Wolves against Sunderland will be interesting especially since it’s Mick McCarthy managing against the club he used to manage. It’s imperative that Wolves gets all three points to start mounting an escape from the relegation zone. But Sunderland is playing some good football at the moment, so the game should feature a lot of back-and-forth.

Everton against West Brom and Fulham against Birmingham will be decent matches to watch. And last, but not least, there’s Man United at home against Blackburn Rovers. Sam Allardyce’s side has been scoring a lot of goals recently so Rovers may not be the automatic three points that many United fans will believe they are.
