Live Blog: Spurs v Inter Milan and Man Utd v Bursaspor

Please come join me beginning around 3:15 PM ET/19:15 GMT as we live blog during two crucial Champions League matches.

PREVIEW:

Tottenham v. Inter Milan:

After giving up a 4-0 lead at the San Siro against Inter, Spurs rebounded with a Gareth Bale hat trick in the second half, leading many Spurs fans to believe that they could easily get revenge against Rafa Benitez’s crew when they came to White Hart Lane. In what shapes up to be a crucial match for qualification to the next round of the Champions League, the newcomers to the competition desperately need to get a result at home against Spurs. But…they are Spurs, so they will find a way to blow this.  Meanwhile, on the other side, is it just a matter of time before Inter bid on Gareth Bale? The Welsh winger has been incredible this season, demolishing all opposition (though his tracking back has still been a bit suspect). Also, Inter will hope upon hope that Maicon doesn’t have as disastrous of a performance as he did in the second half.
Key to the game: Spurs need to settle in early. Finding themselves down early again would be the worst possible thing for them. A loss in this match might find them on the outside looking in of the knockout stage, with the upcoming game with Bremen looming large.

Prediction: Spurs, 3-1.

Bursaspor v. Manchester United.
Preview: The other important game today involves Manchester United playing at the Turkish Champions. The Turks dropped their appearance at Old Trafford, 1-0. However, this game was shortly after the news that Wayne Rooney decided he wanted to leave Man U dropped. The only strike in that game came from Nani. Meanwhile, Manchester United could win their their group today, but a trip to Turkey is never easy, especially when players like Rio Ferdinand don’t make the trip, and Bursaspor will be looking to get a result at home.

Prediction: Draw, 1-1.

  1. An great article by a spurs fans. You think Spurs will beat Inter 3-1????
From the prediction it is evident that u hate United.
    Now this is my prediction
    Spurs 2 Inter 3
    Bursaspor 0 Man United 1

  2. Jordan says:

I have no idea how you get that Joel Bick hates United??? Yet another United fan who can’t see a genuine point against their team. I think a 1-1 is a fair point. There is no Rio today or Giggs. Chris Smalling could start at the back!!! Who the hell is he???
I suggest you go buy a green and gold scarf and still pay your ticket prices to go watch matches……Muppet

  3. Maik says:

I don’t think he hates united, but his prediction seems pretty lousy. Smalling has been huge in all the games he’s played, plus united hasen’t conceded at all in the CL, whilst Buraspor hasn’t scored a single goal. The trip to Turkey’s going to be hard on the players, but my guess is that if there’s a draw it will be a 0-0, although my money is on a 2-0 for united, depending on the line up.

  4. Carmello says:

Who else thinks Spurs will have someone sent off tonight? Haha, I mean… I HOPE it doesn’t happen. Spurs are all emotion right now in the Champions League. What a volatile place to be.

  5. GTL Gooner says:

I think that Joel Bick talks alot of sense. Clearly he is a long standing Season ticket holder down the lane. And goes to alot of games.

Spurs will win tonight and Utd will win also.

Always got to support English teams in Europe.

Even though they are your rivals.

Joel Bick, see u for some GTL soon??

  6. Andy says:

Come on you Spurs!!!! 2 – 0 with less than 30 minutes remaining.

  7. Ivan says:

Gareth Bale: wow, just wow…just when you think he already played his best game of the season…he is Real Madrid/ Barcelona material. And he is British…

  8. Just me says:

    U got the first correct…………
