Guerrero Will Look To Score Against His Old Club.

Bayern Munich will be looking to continue their recent good form with an away win here over Hamburg. Louis van Gaal will be well aware that if his side drop any more points, they will be too far behind the pack leaders to defend their Bundesliga crown. Hamburg currently occupy 5th place, and hold a three point lead over the reigning champions. Armin Veh’s side, who rather cruelly condemned Mainz to their first defeat of the season, will be confident of their chances in front of their own fans.

Armin Veh has decided not to change the starting eleven that beat Mainz last weekend to bring some consistency to the side. Hamburg will be looking to Peruvian hitman Paolo Guerrero to catapult them to further success after his winner against Mainz last weekend. Guerrero, who is one of five players in the Hamburg side who have played for Bayern Munich, spoke to the press before the match about his side’s chances and his feelings about playing against his old club. The Hamburg lineup is:

Rost – Benjamin, Westermann, Mathijsen, Jansen – Rincon – Ze Roberto, Pitroipa – Trochowski – van Nistelrooy, Guerrero

Bayern Munich, on the other hand, are boosted by Mario Gomez’s recent run of goals and they will be looking to the powerful German international to lead the line against what will undoubtedly be a tough game for the Bavarians. Louis van Gaal is looking for what could be a crucial win over Hamburg, with only three points between the two clubs. Tymoschuk retains his place in the center of defense, and Andreas Ottl is once again chosen in midfield. Here is Bayern Munich’s lineup:

Butt – Lahm, Tymoschuk, Badstuber, Pranjic – Schweinsteiger, Ottl – Mueller, Kroos, Altintop – Gomez

Enjoy!
