Fulham has revealed their new away jersey for the 2010-11 Premier League season. Designed and manufactured by Kappa, it’s far better than their new home shirt in my opinion.

Fulham’s new away shirt is red with a design that features charcoal grey sleeves and shoulders. The Fulham away jersey also features a white band that goes across the chest where the sponsor’s name is located. The collar design is a lot more modern and attractive than the V-neck on the home jersey. Plus the new Fulham away shirt features an elasticity to accentuate a footballer’s muscles.

What’s interesting is that for those football supporters who are not as trim as most footballers, the Fulham club website recommends the following: “On sizing for customers requiring a less fitted garment, we suggest that you move up one size than you would normally take.” It’s no wonder then that the Fulham away jersey is 83% nylon and 17% lycra.

I’m sure Brian McBride would have been proud to wear the shirt if he still played at Fulham. Other than the sleeves, the shirt looks like the old Chicago Fire home jerseys.
