Khedira Could Be On His Way Out Of The Bundesliga For Real Madrid.

Stuttgart and Germany midfielder Sami Khedira has today spoken of his dream to play for Spanish giants Real Madrid. After Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho announced his interest in the young midfielder, transfer speculation surrounding Khedira has been rife and rampant. Now, though, Khedira has come out and spoken of a potential move to the Bernabeu.

“Of course, I’m thinking about a transfer to Real Madrid. They’ve already confirmed that they’re interested in signing me. Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world and Jose Mourinho is one of the most successful managers out there. He has always fascinated me and he plays the type of football I can identify myself with. His tactical plans are spot on, with a well organised defence, quick counter-attacks and clinical finishing. That’s the only way to be successful nowadays. I wouldn’t have allowed my agent to contact me about interested clubs if I wanted to stay at Stuttgart. Real Madrid are the only club in the world I’ve been considering so far. However, nothing has been decided yet. I will make a decision about my future in the coming days.”

Khedira certainly does seem to be seriously considering a move out of the Bundesliga this summer. With the allure of trophies and the best manager in the world in the form of Jose Mourinho, the prospect of a move to Real Madrid certainly is hard to turn down. But, would a move out of Germany and to Real Madrid be beneficial to Khedira? With Lassana Diarra, Fernando Gago and Xabi Alonso all players who Sami Khedira will compete with for a place in the team, Khedira may be playing far less than he would be if he stayed at Stuttgart.

And, with Khedira being only 23 years old, his development as a player is still in progress. While he would learn quite a lot from being surrounded by so many world-class superstars, he may also spend a lot of time on the bench if he doesn’t immediately settle into the team and the new surroundings. Having spent all of his career so far with Stuttgart, a move to Spain and the very competitive Bernabeu could be too big of a change for the young midfielder.
