A new photograph of Manchester United’s new home jersey for the 2010-11 season has been leaked on the Internet.

The image, which shows a design of Nike’s UK website, features pictures of Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney wearing the new Manchester United home football jersey.

The retro design is sure to be a big hit among Manchester United supporters around the world. Just as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will be donning retro-inspired kits during the 2010-11 season, so too will Manchester United with retro collars and a retro design that’s reminiscent of Man United’s kits from the late 1970s and early 1980s.

  1. Keith says:

I feel like it’s come to the point where it isn’t really a “leak” anymore since everyone already knows what the shirt is.

    • The Gaffer says:

Yep, there have been several leaked pictures. But it’s still a leak. If it wasn’t, you’d be able to see pictures of the new kit on the official Man United site. But they’re not expected to officially reveal the shirt until the 15th of July.

  2. Brandon says:

Don’t like this at all. Hate collars.

    • Matt says:

wow so do i. the only collars I ever found at least tolerable were the liverpool jerseys from 06-08 because it was all the same material and blended into the jersey. these, like basically every other collar ever, stick out like a sore thumb.

    • njndirish says:

I agree kits aren’t supposed to be polos they are supposed to be kits

  3. Tom Dixon says:

Love the new home shirt. It’s retro with a modern sensibility when it comes to the collar, i.e. it isn’t big and floppy and it’s still a high V-neck.

  4. RedScot says:

Lads if you want the new kits home and away there availiable at Light in the box, I ordered mine 3 days ago expect to have them on Friday.
Thats 2 shirts and 2 shorts approx $60 Us , dont know the conversation rate but mighty cheaper than the reputed cost of £40 per shirt in the uk.

    • achtung3d says:

the pictures on the light in the box web site are devoid of a nike swoosh on either the top or shorts. Suspect they will be the same sort of quality knock offs you find on a markey stall in Turkey !!!

  5. I love Man u home jessey, i love manchester united.

  6. right.... says:

if you really loved Manchester United, you would never ever refer to them as “man u”

    bin dipper.

    • taffy apple says:

Manchester United Never Intended Coming Home

      • MNUfan1991 says:

You celebrate the loss of life because of football rivalry?
You do realize that, at the end of the day, football’s just entertainment, right?
If not, I feel sorry for you.

    • MNUfan1991 says:

Not everyone is as well-versed with the history of English fan rivalry. That doesn’t make them any less of a supporter.

  7. Fiona says:

I hate this jersey. What’s with the collar?

  8. Mike Brailsford says:

‘What’s with the collar’ ? Oh read the info for goodness sake. It is based on the late 70′s / early 80s style of shirt. It had a collar, simples.

I like it and I will buy it to support my team which is bigger than any anti-Glazer opinions I may or may not have.

  9. Devil310 says:

    * * * * D O N O T B U Y * * * *
All the money goes to the GLAZZERS!!!

  10. Brn442 says:

Only Johnny come lately Man U fans would hate a collar in a Red Devils Shirt.
True fans, who actually know about the likes of Best and Cantona, know better.

    • Lou says:

      Doh boy.
Bestie’s best were in swinging 60s roundnecks, Brn442-cum-lately!

Collars goes back to the days of Revie playing for City with hob-nailed boots and leaden footballs.
They’ll probably end up with cravats or bow-ties wearing tassles round their socks. Bluddy awful kit.

  11. adu says:

it’s not a matter of changing the home jersey .it is the team what matters do anybody think they cn win the next season with this scuad

  12. Trevor says:

I don’t mind the collar, it’s the v-neck collar that worries me. Buttons would have been better believe me, now one will have to wear a white shirt under (or long sleeve like Rooney/Nani does).

Also I hope we keep the new kit for longer than one season, it’s becoming fraustrating having to buy new kits every other season.

  13. Jimi says:

I won’t buy the shirt simply because we won’t see the money to be used to get new players. It’ll only make the Glazers richer and to pay the debt. Don’t be fool United fans, let’s banned the shirt until Glazers are out!

  14. toribloger says:

    Ye! Great, I like it.
    Glory Glory Man United

  15. ReDevil10 says:

I have a friend who works for Nike and I was shown this year’s jersey, those pictures are what we will have for the 2010/11 season. Guess we are stuck in retro for one year….oh well.

  16. alex says:

2 bad im not gonna buy 1….LUHG

  17. sparkymark says:

I LIKE IT! the ROON will look well in it stickin a few past the pool hehe!

  18. Jusper Njagi says:

Really love man utd here in Kenya

  19. mc hammer says:

class shirt i will defo buy it
the away one is crap though
benzema SNEIJDER and stephen ireland coming next season boys

  20. Brixton Red says:

Collars a bad thing on a United kit? Imagine Cantona without one. Imagine 1999 without one.

  21. izy07 says:

i hate the collars….i’ll wear last season’s jersey instead

  22. Yuzman says:

hmmm it just ok and simple. why not try half collar? i believe man utd never had it before, some will be better if the away kit is green n yellow..

  23. man u 4 ever says:

This new kit looks awesome. i saw pics of them like a month ago on the web and i thought the away kit looked better but the home kit just looks better now. liking the collar…

  24. paul says:
