Mueller Speaks Out After Germany's 4-0 Win Over Argentina.

Thomas Mueller was beaming with excitement after Germany’s 4-0 win against Argentina. The young German star, who scored Germany’s opening goal just minutes into Germany’s quarter-final clash against the Argentinians. Mueller, who was relatively unknown just a year ago, has now exploded onto the world football scene. At Bayern Munich he has become a regular first-team player, and helped the side to a Bundesliga title and the Champions League final. At the 2010 World Cup, he has scored four and created three more. Clearly, the future is bright for this young star.

After the match against Argentina, where the Germans were billed as underdogs and ended up trouncing the Argentinians by four goals to nil, Thomas Mueller was nearly speechless.

From Goal.com: “Germany’s rocking right now, and rightly so. This is madness, what’s happened here today. If you come here and beat Argentina 4-0 it’s hard to find the words. The star? That was the whole team, once again. Each one of us played to his limits, and everyone fought purely for their cause, giving everything they had.”

Mueller was also asked about his ambitions in becoming the World Cup’s golden boot winner by the end of the tournament, to which Mueller responded quite confidently.

From Goal.com: “Top scorer? Well, if I want to do that I need to hope that my colleagues do everything right in the semis, then maybe I can hit another in the final!”
