Manchester United Home Shirt for 2010-11 Season: New Photos

man united home shirt Manchester United Home Shirt for 2010 11 Season: New Photos

Two new photos have emerged of the new Manchester United home jersey for the 2010-11 season (see above).

The new Man United home shirt is consistent with the previously uncovered image of the jersey. The shirt is still red with white trim and an old-fashioned collar. What is different, however, is that we can see the detail on the back of the show where “MUFC” is sewn in under the back of the collar. And the back of the shirt has a subtle chevron design woven into the fabric.

The more I see the shirt, the more it grows on me. It’s definitely a retro design that harkens back to the late 70s when football (and shirt designs) were simpler. In a day and age where more clubs are releasing retro designed shirts, the forthcoming release from Nike and Manchester United is a welcome addition.

  4. 008 says:

It’s not green and gold, and any shirts bought go into the leprechauns fund of greed or to the banks, avoid at all costs

  5. Marc says:

If you want to buy a United shirt go buy an FC United one.

  6. Bishopville Red says:

If they wear it while lifting trophies, it’ll look just fine.

  7. Bishopville Red says:

All kits look fine when there’s a trophy in the front of the team photo. This one will be no different.

  8. utd says:

This jersey has grown on me.looks cool.bringing back the collar was a great idea.this is one cool fucking kit.can’t wait for it to come the united fans who don’t like it:at least it shits down on loserpools “standard scumbag” top.that jersey makes me fucking sick to my stomach.

  9. Josh says:

I absolutely love it! It is a retro design with modern tech fabrics. It it so much better than last seasons kit, with the bonus of AIG taken off the front. That was simply embarrassing. In my opinion, this is one of the best jerseys in a long time. I think it will grow on the ones that are not so sure about thus far.

    • Josh says:

The more I look at it, the more I like it. It truly reminds me of the treble jersey from Umbro! I can’t wait to get this. Way to go Nike for keeping it classy.

  10. Jake Islas says:

Hopefully the away kit follows this design and those previous pictures we saw of it were false, those sleeves were terrible.

  11. Ben says:

    Awesome Jersey!

  12. Devil310 says:

This shirt just looks boring!!!!….I don’t know what’s with the “let go retro” design. They did this a couple of years ago with that V neck shirt that looked like it was brought from the 70′s.

While Adidas are creating cool and more modern designs, Nike just keeps living in the past!

  13. Dave says:

It actually looks better when you close your eyes. Not liking it at all at the moment, although I said the same for last season’s and it grew on me. Who knows

  14. deeh-one says:

who are hell think of doing this bullshit jersey…its crazy i wonder how berbatov will and fletcher especial rafael will look like in this nonsense jersey…….i can never buy it with my money though am a United fan…it sucks Change it now …..

  15. Eious says:

    Not bad.

Very straight-forward and non-fancy but that is a good thing

  16. Red Devils says:

Just wait untill they wear it, it’ll look nice. Thats only a photo, its pretty nice. Man utd players will make it look good and i cant wait to see them wearing it

  17. julian says:

    It looks fake.

  18. UpTheBlues says:

    Looks awful.

  19. Pulak Joshi says:

The jersey looks alright to me, not very exciting but certainly classy. one of my favorites was the black away jersey last season!

Definitely better than chelshyte and Liverpoop jersey!

  20. Oscar Mumba says:

Now that is absolutely without a doubt, the most ridiculous Man U kit i have ever seen.Nike should stop living in the past & start living up to their Brand they so much Brag about. We changed from the embarrassing AIG.I think it’s time we also Changed from Nike to Addidas.Crap Jersey!

  21. jack says:

i think it looks better than the last few as the rest are chavy . This one is retro and smart!

  22. Ifedili says:

The passion on here about something as trivial as football shirts is astounding. Stop pulling your hair out, and relax.

  26. Steve-O says:

Looks well shit. Nike have defo ran out of ideas, time to change brands i think.

  27. Steve-O says:

Nike save all their best designs for Barcelona and other overseas teams.
