FoxSoccer.tv Google AdSense Fail

foxsoccertv google snafu FoxSoccer.tv Google AdSense Fail

Someone at Fox Soccer Channel needs to learn the time difference between England and the East Coast of the United States. Take a look at the above picture snapped this morning to see how potential new customers FoxSoccer.tv may have missed after they listed the wrong start time for the 8:30am ET game. Ouch.

At least the reliability of FoxSoccer.tv was much better this morning. Shame about the game though.

    “Shame about the game though.”

Not really trying to be unbiased are you? EPLTalk? Was the LiverpoolTalk domain name taken?

    • The Gaffer says:

For the neutral observer, like me, the game was boring to watch. Hence the reason I said “Shame about the game though.”

      Cheers,
      The Gaffer

    • Joel says:

Was it a good game, Eric? I think (as a neutral) the Gaffer was hoping for a more spirited game, especially from Liverpool. The first half was dreadful, and apart from the Gerrard blunder, neither team had much going forward. The 2nd half picked up a little, but Liverpool all but gave up once Lamps scored. So, yeah, I don’t really see this as a “good” game from the neutral perspective.

      • Eric says:

My comments stemmed from the frustration that this site seems to be very Liverpool centric. Every other article seems to be about Liverpool, so that specific comment by the Gaffer was more of the same.

However, I do agree that the game wasn’t great to watch.

  2. The Gaffer says:

Eric, during the past week, here are the number of articles written about Premier League clubs:

    Chelsea: 6
    Liverpool: 5
    Fulham: 3
    Man United: 2
    Stoke: 1
    Birmingham: 1
    Everton: 1
    Portsmouth: 1
    Spurs: 1

Maybe we should change our name to ChelseaTalk? ;)

    Cheers,
    The Gaffer

    • Eric says:

If you’re satisfied with the diversity of your coverage, I guess that’s all that matters, right?

Just seems a bit funny that a few minutes ago ANOTHER op-ed about Liverpool popped up. :)

      • The Gaffer says:

Eric, I’m satisfied with the diversity of the coverage. But that doesn’t mean the readers are. As far as what topics the writers cover, it’s completely up to them. Yes, Alvin Phoon just posted a story about Liverpool a few minutes ago but it’s a big story.

If there are any particular clubs or stories you’d like to see, feel free to submit an article for consideration. More info is at http://epltalk.com/get-published

        Cheers,
        The Gaffer

  3. Scott says:

I, for one, am much more interested in Landon Donovan freaking out. How nuts does he go?! Does Gatorade cure him? I’m so curious.

  4. Jason says:

So do you think foxsoccer.tv will be better next season. I am thinking about getting it next season with the thought that they will improve it over the summer. I just hope that next season they will also include replays of Fox Football Fone In.

    • The Gaffer says:

Jason, a few weeks ago, I mentioned in an article on EPL Talk that Fox was trying to hire someone to work on FoxSoccer.tv. In the job description, it mentioned working on FoxSoccer.tv to add live chat and some other features, so it looks like they have plans to improve it over time. Not sure about FFF being available through there, though. Hopefully it will be.

      Cheers,
      The Gaffer
