Chelsea answers Manchester United’s derailing of Tottenham with a 7-0 drubbing of Stoke while Aston Villa has left March behind by climbing to the brink of Champions League. On this episode of the EPL Talk podcast, I am joined by Laurence McKenna and Kartik Krishnaiyer to look at the weekend that was in the Premiership, where the relegation race was settled and Chelsea stayed on track for a title ahead of next week’s clash at Anfield.

I am impressed with Aston Villa, they have gotten 9 points in the past week right? They have caught up fast. We had written them off but now we have to watch out for them. I think they have a shot at 4th if they keep on winning and the Tottenham/Man City game draws. I am cheering for Man City to get it though.

Nobody can catch Arsenal for 3rd now. They are in no mans land. Too far ahead for 4th to catch them, and too far behind to get 2nd. So Arsenal’s games are now irrelevant.

With the relegation battle over, the teams left with something to play for are Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City, Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Liverpool.
