On the Thursday edition of the EPL Talk podcast, Laurence McKenna and myself look back at Tuesday and Wednesday’s fixtures, including the claiming of the final FA Cup semifinal spot. Also, we look forward to the weekend’s matches in the Premiership, where Chelsea will be pressed to maintain their midweek form against Aston Villa.

At the end of this week’s show, we ask which players’ form make them most likely to have a big impact come the summer’s World Cup. Use the comments below to let us know your choice or if you agree with the choices Laurence and I made.

  2. Danni says:

I don’t know if this is the right place for leaving my opinion for the question you guys asked during the podcast, but since I can’t find any other place, i’ll just spill it here.

You wanted people off the radar who will surprise?
Keep an eye out for South Korean.
Not many expects Korea to get through the group with Greece, Argentina, and Nigeria, but Korea will proceed to the next round, trust me.
Nigeria is having a lot of troubles inside the squad with changing of the manager and stuff, so they are not as strong as some think.
Greece is now a slow and aging team, which Koreans will take advantage of, and win.
Argentina… looks dangerous as Korea’s biggest problem is the back line, but I think Koreans can pull through.

Park Chu-Young (AS Monaco), Park Ji-Sung (Manchester Utd.),
Lee Chung-Young (Bolton), and Ki Sung-Yong (Celtic) are the key players.
Lee and Park Chu-Young are having awesome seasons respectively in the premier league and Ligue 1.
Park Ji-Sung has been enjoying a phenomenal form of late.
Ki hasn’t played awful much but he will blossom.

Trust me on this one, people.
Korea is going to be creating the biggest upsets in the World Cup this year.

    -Peace, Danni
