Zlatan Ibrahimovic was Barcelona’s big money signing in the summer with Samuel Eto’o and a reported £40 million going in the opposite direction to Inter Milan. Few can doubt that Ibrahimovic has ability and on his day is one of the best forwards in the world, however many have criticised him for his work rate and not everyone was convinced he would cut it in Spain. However Ibrahimovic has hit the ground running and has been a star performer for Barcelona and he in no way regrets his move to Spain.

“In Italy, the league is very hard. It’s very difficult to play in as an attacker,” Said Ibrahimovic.

“It’s another game, another mentality.”

“I wouldn’t say it’s 100 per cent focused on defence, but they want to be certain before attacking and generally run less risks,”

“In Spain you take more risks, because you want to score more goals. It’s another culture. The spectacle comes first here.”

At Inter Milan Ibrahimovic was very much the main man in an Inter Milan shirt with everything having to go through him, at Barcelona he is a key player but there are others helping provide that creative spark which has allowed him to express himself further.

The press in Italy is well known for making life difficult for players at times with Ibrahimovic taking a lot of criticism during his time at both Juventus and Inter Milan and he has highlighted this as another reason why life is much better in Spain with Barcelona.
