Puyol linked with a move to the Premiership

carlos puyol Puyol linked with a move to the PremiershipIt may just be another vicious rumour doing the rounds, however there are a lot or murmurings that a handful of Premiership teams are interested in signing Carlos Puyol from Barcelona.

Although Puyol is the captain and his commitment can never be denied when he pulls on a Barcelona shirt, there have been rumours for t a while that the Barcelona management would rather leave the player out of the team because he doesn’t necessarily fit within the team.

Puyol plays either right back or central defence for Barcelona and although he is a good player he is not the best right back or the best central defender.  He works hard, gives 100% at all times and can inspire the players when he needs to but there are better players out there.

Whether the rumours of him leaving Barcelona are true or not we will need to wait and see but this is not the first time in the last year that his future has come into doubt and I very much doubt it will be the last.
