Controversy over the future of Chelsea captain John Terry’s time at Stamford Bridge continues as Manchester City manager Mark Hughes this morning expressed his desire to bring JT to the blue half of Manchester. John Terry has not publicly come out to express his commitment to Chelsea yet. And the intensity of the situation will continue to escalate after a French newspaper reported today that John Terry got into a heated argument with Chelsea players in the dressing room after the game yesterday, and stormed out.

Putting the John Terry story to the side for a minute, John Terry and his Chelsea teammates played their first match of the summer 2009 preseason yesterday in the friendly against Seattle Sounders.

The above video captures the atmosphere inside and outside the ground where 67,000 supporters enjoyed a beautiful day in the sunshine watching world-class footballers.

Inside the stadium, EPL Talk was grateful to have photographer Jordan Spektor capture exclusive images of John Terry and co playing against Seattle. You can view them as a set, or view the images in a slideshow format.

If you were at the game or you watched it on television, what are your thoughts about how Chelsea looks so far especially new signing Daniel Sturridge? And do you think there was much of a gap between the playing abilities of a MLS side and a Premier League team?
