Liverpool FC will be traveling to Asia this summer for their 2009 preseason tour.

The Reds will play in Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong between July 17-26, 2009. No ticket news has been revealed as of press time, but it looks likely that Liverpool will play the Thai national team in Bangkok. Thailand is managed by Liverpool-born Peter Reid.

Liverpool are also negotiating to play the Singapore national team, and a team from Hong Kong.

The last time Liverpool visited North America was five years ago in 2004.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Manchester United will also be heading to Asia this summer. Chelsea will be playing in the Barclays Asia Trophy. Man United will be in Asia at the same time (between July 16-26) when they travel to China, Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia.
