The Montreal Impact crashed and burned out of the USL-1 playoffs at the hands of Canadian rivals Vancouver. However the Impact has an opportunity to seal passage to the quarterfinal round of the CONCACAF Champions League tonight with a victory or draw against Honduran Champion Olimpia at Saputo Stadium. The match will air live in the United States on Fox Soccer Channel at 8:00pm ET.

Elsewhere tonight in Champions League play, DC United who needs a miracle to advance in this event or to make the MLS playoffs faces off with Cruz Azul in Mexico City tonight at 10:15pm ET on Fox Soccer Channel and Telefutura. Jaime Moreno will not travel with United and will play in his farewell match for Bolivia on Wednesday according to Steven Goff of the Washington Post. Moreno has been on and off the national team for the better part of 17 years and as a 20 year old played in the 1994 World Cup, and  recently scored twice in the 2007 Copa America.

    1st rate officiating tonight in the CCL

    Two keepers sent off for United and yet again more lack of class from Mexican teams as they score practically over the prone body of an injured United player.

    Color me stunned..
